This woman was born before women were legally allowed to vote.

So don’t think for a second that she’s joking when she sees you trying to take that right away, Republicans.

Epilogue: True story, bro.

This is the truest of stories.

Artist problem #1059250912501681095802485203948106

This is truthful. Why? Because artists think that things are handed to them. So they start getting greedy. They wait until they get, and stuck with, a big amount of followers. Mostly by luring them with requests. They they wait and BAM. The slam down the “Pay for my stupid art”hammer. Most people are hungry and will do anything to get their hands on art they requested. But that’s how others unfollow them. Not because they’re idiots. but because nobody should have to pay for shit like that. Unless your mentioned in the news, stop doing commissions.

Well I’m hungry too, that’s why I do commission, you asshole.

What a prick! Drawing takes fucking time! What happened to ‘getting a job and doing what you love?’ how the fuck can we if no one wants to pay for anything and just expects artists to draw for free?

"Artists think that things are handed to them. So they start getting greedy" you mean non-artists start getting greedy, right?
"Most people are hungry and will do anything to get their hands on-" Have you heard the term “starving artist?”
There is a reason why being an artist is considered a “risky” profession by non-creative people- because PEOPLE LIKE YOU like to cheat us out of the pay we deserve because you like taking talented people for granted, and have no concept of labor or exploitation. Show some respect.
We ask for commissions because WE ARE WILLING TO WORK FOR THE MONEY WE EARN. It’s not asking for handouts. Art doesn’t come out of nowhere, and should be paid as such. Don’t believe me? Watch an art time lapse. It takes time and years’ worth of skill to create a piece. Something that people have went to school and trained for, or trained themselves to do for extensive periods of time.
If an artist deems their skill worthy of pay, then it’s FREAKING WORTHY OF PAY. Don’t throw a temper tantrum like a 5-year-old just because you can’t afford an artist’s work.

this still keeps me up at night

Believe it or not, this fuck actually requested me several ideas in the past, when I was naïve and open to requests at the time. They were mostly related to the 80’s Canadian cartoon THE RACCOONS. He seems to have a fascination with characters from that cartoon either shrinking to the size of a little kid, characters growing to the size of a giant, or character with enlarged body parts (feet, hands, etc.) I’m not sure what else he asks for, but those are the common requests I’m fully aware of. I blocked him years ago, he was really getting on my nerves and his requests were asinine. From that point on, he constantly whines to shitty artists for his demands, because they’re probably the only ones who actually take requests.
Everytime I look back on him on his Deviantart page, he seems to be getting worse. Requests aside, he keeps making all these ”petitions” that demand higher respect for modern children’s programming that he possibly gets him turned on like Max and Ruby, Geronimo Stilton, and Rupert Bear…..shows aimed for preschoolers. He’s almost in his 30’s.
I should mention that he is autistic. Now I have nothing against autism, I really don’t. But the autistic people I see on DA don’t exactly give autism a good reputation, they use it as a crutch to get themselves out of an internet argument. Cyberfox is no exception.
I am actually internet friends with a couple of awesome people who are autistic, one of them is a fanfic writer and actually had to deal with Cyberfox once. CF asked for a RACCOONS fanfic that copied the plot from a FUTURAMA plot, and my friend agreed to do it….but then CF kept on asking and asking if the story was finished and would associate any recent RACCOONS fanart on DA as potential scenes for his fanfic idea.
Me and my friend both agree that both art and literature can’t be rushed for the sake of some furry douchebag. It all takes time and actual effort. My friend eventually came to the conclusion that the story was stupid and had other and better stories on his agenda. He politefully declined CF’s offer, which resulted in CF unwatching my friend.
This Scooby Doo request really takes the cake. Anyone who sees this, just stay away from him as far as possible.

The details he gives to other people is not worth spending your time on. I’m friends with autistic people myself and they are nothing like this person, not even close.

This comment more than makes up for the stupidity of this petition.

I really hate to use all caps but I wanted to say to the petition creator that SMASH BROS DOESN’T EVEN NEED TO BE PORTED ON THE VITA. You have your own clone on that handheld, you fucking dipshit.

This is crazy….

Tis not crazy, Disney would have the voice actors act out a scene so that the artist could use it as a reference. In fact the audio for the Mad Hatter is all taken from this scene.

So when someone tells you that “referencing is cheating”, just know that they’re lying.

Nearly all of the best artists reference!
